1. Withholding my Brewers love
Something has been weird about this Brewers' off-season. By now, I should be chomping at the bit for baseball, holding my breath for that first radio broadcast from Arizona. And indeed, on Saturday, I thought to myself, "I'd like to be listening to a Brewers game right now." Then the feeling passed.
2. Overcoming frustrations on the hardwood
All three basketball games I attended at the high school, college and NBA level had different outcomes from some of the built-up frustration that needed to be released.
3. Tony Plush: Sh*t Black Guys Do
Proving that now everyone in the world has made a "Sh*t someone does" video, Nyjer Morgan has uploaded one, too, to YouTube.
4. Wisconsin sports teams, Wi-Fi Me ASAP
Sadly all of our major sporting venues in Wisconsin are lacking when it comes to free, fast Wi-Fi. I want this to change. It needs to change. And, soon.
5. Wave to host MACC Fund on Sunday
The Milwaukee Wave has been great friends of the MACC Fund throughout its impressive history. On Sunday, Feb. 12, the team hosts a MACC Fund Game.
6. Oh, what a night!
Until Sunday night, I never had the out of body experience I had while on the field where just an hour before the entire world was watching Tom Brady's pass fall just incomplete, giving Eli Manning and the New York Giants their second Super Bowl win in four years over the New England Patriots.
7. Prince will be missed, but it was wise to not overpay
"Scott (Boros) is an agent that didn't push us to the point," Melvin said of Fielder's agent, who negotiated the nine-year, $214 million deal for his client with the Detroit Tigers. "Once he started saying that he was going to get $200 million for (Fielder), I just went, 'Oops! That won't work here.' "
8. Andrew Bogut, "not how an ankle should look"
It's not pretty, but Andrew Bogut posted the above photo on Twitter yesterday as Milwaukee Bucks General Manager John Hammond announced more bad injury news for the Bucks center.
9. Fielder agrees to terms with Detroit
According to multiple sources, the Detroit Tigers have signed now-former Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder to a nine-year, $214 million contract.
10. Remembering Jim Irwin
I spent a lot of years traveling with Jim Irwin. He and I both covered the Bucks and Packers for about five or six years. You get to know someone pretty well when you're on the road with him.

11. Jim Irwin remembered
Longtime Packers broadcaster Jim Irwin has passed away. OnMilwaukee.com's Doug Russell worked with Irwin at the end of his career, and remembers the man behind the voice.
12. Brewers add NL Central Division banner to Miller Park facade
The Brewers today affixed the latest postseason banner above Friday's Front Row Grill at Miller Park this morning.
13. Braun speaks
Ryan Braun, in accepting the National League's Most Valuable Player Award on Saturday night in New York, alluded to his appeal of a positive drug test that threatens both the first 50 games of the Brewers season, but also Braun's reputation.
14. Abdul-Jabbar appointed global cultural ambassador
Today, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton named former Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as a global cultural ambassador.
15. Counsell retires, takes front office job
Tuesday, after 16 seasons in the Major Leagues as a player, Whitefish Bay's Craig Counsell simultaneously announced his retirement as a player and his acceptance of a front-office position as Brewers Special Assistant to General Manager Doug Melvin.
16. Local golf courses to open early
The Milwaukee County Parks System has announced that two golf courses, Grant park and Lincoln Park will be open this weekend because of the unseasonably warm weather we have been having this winter.
17. An amazing stat from last night's Bucks game
The Bucks remained perfect at home (4-0) with a 102-93 win over Central Division foe Detroit last night at the Bradley Center. But, one stat truly stood out.
18. Rock 'N Sole announces improvements
Milwaukee World Festival announced improvements for the second annual Rock `N Sole run today, including new distances and entertainment along the routes.
19. Bucks with a huge win
The Bucks did something Tuesday night at the Bradley Center that they had not done since April. They beat a quality opponent, defeating the San Antonio Spurs, 106-103, in front of 11,585 fans.
20. Rodgers is the leader of the Pack
Journal Sentinel and Packers Plus reporter Rob Reischel did a very good job in writing the book about Green Bay quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Aaron Rodgers. His book, "The Leader of the Pack (take that, Brett Favre)," was interesting. I opened up the book as I left the gift shop before the second half game between Green Bay and Detroit began.
21. Inside the Huddle: Talking with Matt Flynn
Packers quarterback Matt Flynn was been named the NFC's Offensive Player of the Week this past week. Today, he talks to OnMilwaukee.com and Insidethehuddle.tv about the Lions game, the Packers and more.
22. On jerseys and the wearing of sports gear
For whatever reason I don't own a ton of sports gear. I do, though, have a hypothesis on jersey wearing.
23. Are you buying what the Bucks are selling?
The pieces that were supposed to work last season to get them back into the playoffs fell apart because of team chemistry. A few players throwing up some bricks here and pouting about playing time there, and don't forget about the injuries. You had the ingredients of disaster and the season ending after 82 regular season games. No postseason action for the Bucks in 2010-11. We wondered how general manager John Hammond and head coach Scott Skiles would fix the problem.
24. Inside the Huddle: Desmond Bishop
Buzz about the Bears, Christmas gifts and more as OnMilwaukee.com goes "Inside the Huddle" with Desmond Bishop of the Green Bay Packers.
25. Richard Florida on "Why they call Green Bay `Titletown'"
Richard Florida's post yesterday on theatlanticcities.com is a great read for any Packers or sports fan. Live in Wisconsin? Read this, you'll love it.
