The Brewers affixed the 2011 NL Central Division banner to the Miller Park facade this morning.

The lift occurred this morning at 9:00 on the left field warning track.

Soon, the 2011 banner will have the same ball marks from home runs as the 2008 Wild Card banner.

The 2011 banner now hangs alongside the banners from 1981, 1982, and 2008.

The Brewers today affixed the latest postseason banner above Friday's Front Row Grill at Miller Park this morning.

At 9:00, workers installed the metal banner alongside the banners from their previous postseason appearances in 1981, 1982, and 2008.

Pitchers and catchers report to Maryvale Baseball Park in Phoenix on Feb. 18; Opening Day at Miller Park is Friday, April 6 vs. St. Louis.

Cerveceros Day announced

The Milwaukee Brewers have announced details for the seventh annual Cerveceros Day events at Miller Park, which is scheduled for Saturday, June 2 as the Brewers take on the Pittsburgh Pirates at 6:10 p.m.

Team can't catch fire

One or two times a week, the Milwaukee Brewers strike a match at the plate, or on the mound. Eight runs here. A dominant starting pitching performance there. But the flame always seems to go out just before it can catch the rest of the wood, something that continues to frustrate fans and the team itself.

The average attendance at Milwaukee County Stadium in 1995 was 13,427. Let`s remember this, Milwaukee, as without Miller Park we would have never lured new ownership, new players and eventually a return to greatness and huge crowds that are the envy of much-larger cities. Now, it`s the Bucks` turn.
