Andrew Bogut, "not how an ankle should look"

It's not pretty, but Andrew Bogut posted the above photo on Twitter yesterday as Milwaukee Bucks General Manager John Hammond announced the following information on another big injury for the Bucks center:

"Andrew returned to Milwaukee this morning to be evaluated by Bucks orthopaedic physician Michael Gordon, M.D., and to undergo a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exam on his left ankle. The results of the MRI identified a left ankle fracture which will keep Bogut out indefinitely."

Bogut posted the photo with this message, "This is not how an ankle should look... Other side is even worse, but all taped up so cant get any happy snaps!"

The seventh-year center was injured in Tuesday's win at Houston when his left foot landed awkwardly on a Rockets player's foot after attempting to block a shot in the first quarter. It was Bogut's 400th NBA game.

In 12 games this season, Bogut averaged 11.3 points, a team-high 8.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.0 steal and a team-high 2.0 blocked shots (T-7^th in NBA) in 30.0 minutes per contest.

Heal up soon, Bogues. I do like what I've seen the past few weeks with this team, and hopefully the Bucks can still battle for a playoff spot in your absence.

The Bucks host the Lakers Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Bradley Center.

That's a pretty sunny assessment of a player and a franchise that seem prfoundly snake bit.

Awe bummer. The Bucks were really looking playoff bound before Bogut's injury...

BMO Harris Bradley Center

While BMO Harris Bank can crow about their name on Milwaukee`s Downtown entertainment destination while the rest of us simply ignore it, what they, along with Harley-Davidson, Kohl`s Department Stores, Northwestern Mutual and Rockwell Automation have done is nothing short of spectacular. Not to extend the life of Mrs. Pettit`s generosity, but rather to recognize the looming threat of the Bucks short shelf-life without a new home.

Downtown's on the upswing

Last week, a national consultant presented "The Top 10 Global Trends Affecting Downtowns and How To Respond in Milwaukee" at a symposium held at The Pfister Hotel. Big and bold ideas came out of the high energy meeting.

The new BC nickname

So we have a new name for our arena Downtown. That`s nice, but it presents a problem for those of us who refer to the Bradley Center as the "BC."
