Wow, Milwaukee, when it comes to Irish pubs in Brew City, you really love County Clare. The Lower East Side hotel bar and restaurant has nabbed the title of best Irish bar, as voted by OnMilwaukee.com, for at least the sixth straight year.

Unfortunately, we haven't had much of a chance to enjoy many of Milwaukee's great bar and restaurant patios because of all the recent rain, but hopefully, the upcoming months will be filled with lazy, patio-friendly weekends.

Fans of Hooligan's Super Bar, the East Side landmark located at 2017 E. North Ave., showed their support by once again naming Hoolie's the best bar on or near North Avenue during the annual OnMilwaukee.com readers' poll. And OnMilwaukee.com editorial staff agreed.

Last week, I posted a blog listing five local restaurants I plan to revisit in the near future. Apparently, my brain is now in list mode because on my way to work this morning, I thought of a bunch of places I would like to have a cocktail on Sunday with my "mom friends."

The sign outside doesn't say "slightly above average." It says, "super." Fans of Hooligan's Super Bar, the East Side landmark located at 2017 E. North Ave., aren't going to argue. They showed their support by naming Hoolie's their favorite bar on or near North Avenue during the annual OnMilwaukee.com readers' poll.
