Phat Phunktion is a nine-piece group that combines the polish of top 40, with the smoothness of 60s soul, and the raw energy of 70s funk. Phat Phunktion has taken their CDs and their live show on the road throughout the Midwest adding to the number of faithful phatheads that are now spreading the word.

They have been blessed with the opportunity to play with some of the greatest groups of all time, including The Temptations, Maceo Parker, Tower of Power, WAR, Cameo, Morris Day and the Time, The BoDeans and Chick Corea. With their own brand of Funk, R&B, and Jazz, they have built a huge following in their home town of Madison which drew an estimated 5,000 people to the CD release party for "Here We Go!," setting an attendance record. They drew one of the latest spots on one of the largest stages at Summerfest, and have blown over audiences at the House of Blues in Chicago four times within the last year. They aim to please and have yet to do otherwise. They pack enormous punch with four powerful horns and a vise-tight rhythm section that have heated up crowds to the point of spontaneous combustion.
