Chicago Fed, Forbes contributor tout Metro Milwaukee's job growth

Mark Bergen, a contributor on Forbes.com, wrote yesterday about new figures from the Chicago Fed showing strong jobs growth in metro Milwaukee. Bergen's headline is strong too, "Milwaukee Bruises Chicago on Jobs."

The study is here, and it shows the consistency of the manufacturing economy and, as Bergen concludes, makes the case for "Milwaukee as an unsung hero of the tepid recovery."

Similar data was presented last month from the U.S. Labor Department.

Pace yourself

Economy is on its way up

Last week, we told you that the U.S. economic recovery is picking up steam. Several headlines since then are validating that projection.

Road to recovery

It`s early, and we don`t want to jinx it. We`ve still got a long way to go. There certainly are variables that could intercede, and there surely will be speed bumps along the way. But let`s just say right here and now that the U.S. economy has begun a bona fide, full-fledged recovery.

MKE makes a comeback

Milwaukee`s been on a mighty comeback for 10-15 years now. Yesterday, Forbes took note of what many of us already know. In its latest list, Milwaukee`s a "top 10 comeback city."
