1. Community ARTreach brings art and culture to the Domes
ART Milwaukee's family-friendly Community ARTreach initiative returns Sunday, Feb. 12 to bring an afternoon of art, botany and cultural diversity to the Mitchell Park Domes.
2. Singing in their dinner jackets
Few of us have to show up for work wearing white dinner jackets, but Aaron Schmidt, Tommy Lueck, Don Lobacz and Reginald T. Kurschner are eager to do so. That's because they are the Four Guyz in Dinner Jackets, a quartet that croons the tunes of the `50s and `60s.
3. Jake and Elwood hit the stage in The Official Blues Brothers Revue
Jake and Elwood Blues are on another "mission from God" in "The Official Blues Brothers Revue," coming to the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts March 2-4.
4. Giada will spice up The Riverside
Food Network chef and author Giada De Laurentiis is coming to the Riverside Theater Friday, April 6.
5. "Shatner's World" to invade The Riverside
Television and movie legend William Shatner will bring his one-man show "Shatner's World: We Just Live In It" to the Riverside Theater Sunday, March 18, as part of his U.S. tour.
6. Shrunken Shakespeare in the Stackner Cabaret
Three male roommates living in a man-cave apartment decide to act out all 37 of Shakespeare's plays. In under two hours. That's the setup for "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)," a 25-year-old theatrical parody that ran for nearly a decade in London. The Milwaukee Rep opened an entertaining production of the show in its Stackner Cabaret this week.
7. BAAM's Grease sing-along postponed
BAAM! Beer and a Movie's "Sing-A-Long with Grease" has been postponed due to inclement weather.
8. Milwaukee Ballet's "Winter Series" brings three world premieres to The Pabst
The Milwaukee Ballet will deliver an up-close-and-personal performance of three premiere works as they bring "Winter Series" to the Pabst Theater Feb. 16-19.

10. Brenda DeVita will become APT artistic director at the end of 2014
Although American Players Theatre producing artistic director David Frank is sticking around for three more seasons, the classical company announced today that he will retire at the end of 2014 and be replaced as artistic director by longtime company member Brenda DeVita.

In anticipation of Thursday night's hazardous driving conditions, Boswell Books has rescheduled its Ayad Akhtar author event for Friday, Jan. 13.
12. Harley-Davidson Museum to exhibit the artistic side of Willie G.
The Harley-Davidson Museum will host an exclusive exhibition of paintings, sketches, artifacts, photos and more from the personal collection of Willie G. Davidson, grandson of one of the company's founders and influential Harley-Davidson designer.
13. Idina Menzel will sing at Ravinia July 8
We could wonder if Idina Menzel appears only in shows with single-word titles. The Queens, N.Y., native burst into the public consciousness playing one of the leads in "Rent" on Broadway. She became a bona fide star portraying Elphaba in "Wicked." Now millions know her for her recurring presence on "Glee." Kind of makes you wonder if the uber talented brunet has a limited vocabulary.
14. Good-bye, Bob Watt
Controversial poet and painter Bob Watt passed away this week at the age of 86.
15. "Poland Under Glass" brings the Old Country to the Domes
"Poland Under Glass" returns to the Mitchell Park Domes Saturday, Jan. 14.
16. Ink 101 tattoo shop / gallery opening in Third Ward
A new tattoo shop and art gallery, Ink 101, will open within a week in the Third Ward, 240 N. Milwaukee St., Suite 101.
17. Charles Allis Art Museum to present "Forward 2012"
The Charles Allis Art Museum will present "Forward 2012: A Survey of Wisconsin Art Now" beginning March 2, 2012.
18. The Pfister names six finalists for 2012-13 artist in residence
The Pfister Hotel's selection committee has chosen six finalists for the 2012-13 term of its nationally recognized artist-in-residence program.
19. Wild Space Dance Company cooks up a new show for February
Wild Space Dance Company will prepare a "moveable feast" of dance and entertainment in "Delicious," which takes the stage Feb. 9-11, 2012 at The Rep's Stiemke Theater.
20. Combat Theatre's greatest hits
Bunny Gumbo Production's Combat Theatre has produced nearly 400 original 15-minute plays since February of 2000. Eight of the best are being revived for one night only Saturday in a fund raiser for the company.
21. Theater tidbits for the holidays

This season it is the one-man show "A Kodachrome Christmas" in Vogel Hall at the Marcus Center.
