1. George Webb adds two new restaurants and a drive-thru window
The George Webb restaurant chain is making it even easier to get your diner food fix with the addition of two new franchise spots.
2. Is food safety a liberal or conservative party position?
OK, folks, time to wake up. Let me help you answer this question. It's not a political position at all. How it has become one is beyond me. And the more people perceive the concept of farm to table as some cute little trend chefs are grasping at to help define their style of cooking is ridiculous.
3. Three chain restaurants that Milwaukee needs
Why doesn't Milwaukee have a Ruth's Chris or a Legal Seafood or an In and Out Burger.
4. Downtown needs a Blue's Egg
I love Blue's Egg. And, I think Milwaukee needs another one or two.
5. Disappointed by pizza delivery
I can't remember the last time I ever got a delivered pizza that passed muster. Cold, soggy ... I can't begin to count the things that go wrong with delivered pizzas.
6. Food & Froth Fest raises a glass to Milwaukee's brewing history

7. Pleasantly surprised by P.F. Chang's
This week my wife and I found ourselves out at Mayfair at dinner time and decided to tray P. F. Chang's. It's a chain restaurant, so I didn't have high expectations.

10. In defense of Paula Deen
I'm really somewhat skeptical of culinary television personalities. I can tell you I've never really watched any of Paula Deen's shows, but I never quite expected to find myself rushing to her defense.
11. Stone Creek announces big plans for summer 2012
Stone Creek Coffee Roasters announced some plans for the future today. The company will totally remodel The Stone Creek Factory, 422 N. 5th St., which is home to its roasting operations and corporate offices.
12. Restaurants Under Glass returns to the Domes Jan. 27
The Sixth Annual Restaurants Under Glass will bring 17 of the Milwaukee area's finest restaurants together in the Mitchell Park Domes Friday, Jan. 27.
13. Milwaukee is on Olga's Kitchen's list
A recent Detroit News report cited an expansion for the fast casual Olga's Kitchen. The report included a Milwaukee location.
14. Hit the town with Mason Street Grill and The Belmont Tavern
Save the date for a night out with Mason Street Grill and The Belmont Tavern. The restaurant and bar join together to host "An Evening Out on the Town" Wednesday, Jan. 18.
15. $2.97 wine ... how is it possible?
For a while now I've been walking past the display of $2.97 wine at Whole Foods. Today, I decided to buy a bottle of Three Wishes Cabernet to try.
16. What's Fresh! Deli is closed for good
After 22 years of serving (and delivering) sandwiches and soup to the Downtown community, What's Fresh! Deli, 146 E. Juneau Ave., has closed.

Milwaukee ChopHouse is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with the return of some of its original favorites - at their original prices.
18. Updated: Wingstop lands in Milwaukee

20. The Dogs Bollocks is done
An employee at the neighboring Palermo Villa confirmed that The Dogs Bollocks, 2321 N. Murray Ave., is indeed closed for good. The English-style pub and restaurant has black paper on the windows and the phone is disconnected.
21. T.J. Aliota's appears closed
T.J. Aliota's, 261 W. Hampton Ave., appears to have closed. A sign that reads "closed for remodeling" has been on the door for months, but there is no sign of activity.
22. A progressive dinner date
Last week my wife and I were blessed with the rare opportunity to have a highly coveted date night - something that has become a rarity since having a child. For this date night, my wife suggested that we modify our typical dinner and a movie with a progressive dinner and a movie.
23. Zaffiro's makes a great ... salad?
I'd rather have a pizza than a salad every day, but sometimes that guilty angel on my shoulder screams "no more pizza." That's when this salad turns out to be one of the best tasting, highest-valued meals I've ever had.

25. A weekend of truffle TV
I had a great weekend of watching food television. Both "Wisconsin Foodie" and "60 Minutes" featured a segment on one of my favorite things to cook with: truffles.
