Milwaukee's best steak, 2010: Five O'Clock Steak House
The votes are in, and the winners have been selected for OnMilwaukee's Best Dining 2010. The results of this readers' poll, including an editors' pick, are available in this series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.
For four straight years, Milwaukee's beef lovers have chosen the Five O'Clock Steak House as their favorite place for a steak.
It's easy to see why. The venerable steakhouse at 2416 W. State St., has been serving up delicious cuts for years -- back when it was Coerper's Five O'Clock Club -- in a classy, throwback style reminiscent of a '50s supper club.
With a basic menu featuring ribs, chops and five cuts of steak -- all $40 or less -- there's variety and value.

Well it was named the best in 2010 and the three years before that by the PEOPLE of Milwaukee not Rachel Ray. She voted it one of the best steak houses in the nation last year which is not an honor bestowed on just any establishment. Nice try though. Honestly, the haters out there have nothing better to do with their time. No changes at Five O'Clock other than the fact they continue to amaze their competition!! Kudos to them!!! Next year willl be #5 mark my word.

One of my favorites is on this list, Jackson Grill. Great little spot on the South Side. A little disappointed to see Ward's on here though.
