New bar coming: from Dogs to Bucks?

Forever Young Enterprises, Inc. has applied for a Class "B" Tavern license for the former Dogs Bollocks' space, 2321 N. Murray Ave. If granted, Two Bucks, a franchise from Ohio, is expected to open in the space.

British bar closes

An employee at the neighboring Palermo Villa confirmed that The Dogs Bollocks, 2321 N. Murray Ave., is indeed closed for good. The English-style pub and restaurant has black paper on the windows and the phone is disconnected.

True to English pub form, the draw at the now 1-year-old The Dogs Bollocks, 2321 N. Murray Ave., is seemingly not the food but instead a clean, bright pub with a decent beer selection and televisions showing all the latest sporting events.

Dogs Bollocks could be start of new British invasion

The East Side`s new Dogs Bollocks, 2321 N. Murray Ave., is British, not Irish, though owner Tony Wright says it`s a distinction that`s too often confused. "The Irish have done a great job of exporting their culture, but the Brits haven`t done it as much," he says. As an English export himself, he hopes to help change that.
