Moct Bar turns 7 this Friday, and the staff is totally geeking out.

No, really – the bar is getting ready to ring in its seventh anniversary, and is planning to do it in true nerd style.

"We've kind of got a little theme behind it. Our staff will be dressed as kind of geek chic," says Moct owner Nebi Torbica of the bar's Harajuku girls, who will serve as the night's hosts Dec. 2.

If you're not one to embrace geek as the new cool, rest assured that the ever-eclectic bar will have something for everyone.

"We've got some good local talent as far as DJs go," says Torbica, citing music mainstay D-On and additional sets from DJs JDL and DMT. They and other surprise guests will spin '80s hip-hop and pop tunes all night, and the Motion Disorderz breakdancers are also scheduled to perform.

Giveaways, prizes, drink specials and a complimentary buffet will run until close, but you won't want to be fashionably late to this party – the first 50 people will receive a special prize at the door, and the bar will serve up complimentary Stoli cocktails from 8 to 10 p.m.

And, with no cover, there's no excuse not to take advantage of the bar's one-of-a-kind vibe.

"We've been kind of a unique space for the last seven years. We cater to all people and crowds," says Torbica. "We're more of a destination spot. To last in a location where we don't have much to feed off of is really positive."
